Goodbye to Hors la Loi II

The Hors la Loi II-son Untouchable competing under Daniel Deusser. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.Hors la Loi II (Papillon Rouge x Joyau d'Or) has been put to sleep after a serious tendon injury. The gelding reached the age of 16, and has up until recently been competed under Hugo Simon. Previously Hors la Loi II was ridden by Rodrigo Pessoa and Jeroen Dubbeldam. Hors la Loi II is probably more famous for his breeding than his competition career though – as he was an approved stallion before he was gelded.

His offspring include Untouchable (ridden by Daniel Deusser), Verdi III (ridden by Pius Schwizer), Woodstock (ridden by Laura Kraut) and Vocas (ridden by McLain Ward).
