Henrik von Eckermann continued his winning ways when he won the Grand Prix in Paderborn today. The three star Grand Prix was also the fifth leg of the DKB Rider Tour, and like yesterday it was Henrik and the 14 year old mare L.B.Paola (Polydor x Frühlingsball) that went to the top. And it was not just anybody that Henrik left behind him; Ludger Beerbaum and Marco Kutscher – Henrik’s superiors at his “office” Stall Beerbaum – had to see their pupil leave them as number two and three respectively.

The Swedish rider - and Bundeschampionat winner - had a clear second round, and a time that was 0.67 seconds faster that Marco’s – on Satisfaction FRH (Stakkato x Calypso II) he crossed the finish line on 42.22 seconds. Ludger and Chaman (Baloubet du Rouet x I Love You) was just behind on 42. 81. Douglas Lindelöw – also young, talented and Swedish – was fifth with Talina (Matterhorn x Heidelberg), with Katrin Eckermann ahead of him on fourth. The latter won the last leg of the tour.

Ludger Beerbaum is currently the overall leader of the tour, with Katrin Eckermann 19 points behind him. Click here for the full standing.
