Henrik von Eckermann back after injury

Thursday, 16 February 2012

Henrik and Quibell will be at start in Gothenburg next weekend. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.Henrik von Eckermann broke his collarbone a little over two weeks ago; now he is back in the saddle. To WoSJ Henrik says: "I rode for the first time yesterday and today I made my first jumps." Henrik went through surgery in the beginning of February, and a metal plate with four screws on each side of the collarbone was put in.

"I have to ride with a special vest, that just allows me to raise my arm in 45 degrees and that will protect my collarbone. I need to wear this vest for about 6 to 8 weeks, until the bone is healed," Henrik explains.

Next weekend the Swedish rider will be at start on home soil at Gothenburg Horse Show together with Allerdings and Quibell.
