History repeated itself in Helsinki, Finland, this weekend when Christian Ahlmann and Taloubet Z (Galoubet A x Polydor) won tonight’s second leg of the Rolex FEI World Cup in the Western European league at Helsinki International Horse Show. As we wrote earlier this week both horse and rider looked to be in fabulous form in Oslo, where they won the first leg of the World Cup. So Ahlmann pulled “an Etter”, but as that wasn’t enough he even won the Grand Prix on Saturday with this impressive stallion. An amazing achievement and a proof of the fantastic job the German rider has done with Judy Ann and Leon Melchior’s 10 year old Zangersheide-stallion.
Malin Baryard-Johnsson had another great weekend, and was runner-up in Saturday’s Grand Prix with H&M Reveur de Hurtebise (Kashmir Van Schuttershof x Capricieux des Six Censes) and took the fifth spot in the World Cup with the Lux-stallion H&M Tornesch. This has been a promising start on the indoor season for Malin, who showed strength in Oslo last weekend as well. As we reported earlier this week Leon Thijssen’s Numero Uno-stallion Tyson jumped fantastic in Oslo. He continued to shine this weekend, and the pair was third in the World Cup today.
At JBK Horse Shows in Denmark Shane Carey from Ireland won the 3* Grand Prix aboard the Lancer II-gelding Lancero.
