Home rider wins the Grand Prix of Mannheim

Wednesday, 07 May 2014

It was a German rider that secured the win in the three star Mannheim Grand Prix on Tuesday as Henrik Griese with Comtessa (Contendro x Acord II) was more than a second faster than runner-up Leopold van Asten on VDL Groep Zidane (Heartbreaker x Calando I) in the jump-off.

Third place went to America's Lauren Hough on Ohlala (Orlando x Cardento), while fourth was French rider Caroline Nicolas with Mozart de Beny (Timorrak des Isles x Starter). Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum took the fifth place with Atlanta - a 9 year old mare by For Pleasure x Achill-Libero H. Meredith had four faults in the jump-off as did Lars Nieberg on Leonie W (Larenco x Grandeur) who ended sixth.
