Two home riders ended up on top in the international three star classes in Maastricht on Friday; Timothy Hendrix and Jur Vrieling. Aboard the 11 year old gelding Very Nice (Cantos x Candillo), Hendrix rode one of nine double clears in the 1.50 class – and as fourth last to go in the jump-off he shaved off over a second around the shortened seven fence track on then-leader Jessica Kürten’s time. The last two in the jump-off could not do anything about the leader, but second-last to-go Lars Nieberg ended third on Leonie W (Lorenco x Grandeur) and the final rider was Bart Bles slotted into the runner-up position on Lord Sandro DDH (Lordanos x Sandro).
The first class of the day went to Jur Vrieling on Sissi van Schuttershof (Nabab de Reve x Tenor Manciais). Luca Moneta riding Quarius (Quebec x Accbat) was second, and William Funnel third aboard Billy Mexico (Cevin Z x Le Mexico) – with just fractions separating the top three rides.
