Hubert Bourdy has passed away

Wednesday, 25 June 2014

Hubert Bourdy (right) at the World Equestrian Games in Stockholm in 1990 where he won gold together with Eric Navet, Pierre Durand and Roger-Yves Bost. Photo by Kit Houghton/FEI.Very sadly, Hubert Bourdy has passed away after long-term illness. The French rider reached the age of 57. Bourdy won two team Olympic bronze medals for France; one in 1988 in Seoul on Morgat and one in 1992 in Barcelona on Razzia du Poncel. In between the two Games, Bourdy also stepped to the top of the podium with the French team at the World Equestrian Games in Stockholm in 1990 on Morgat, as well as riding to individual bronze.

Our thoughts go out to Bourdy's family and to all those close to him.
