Hunter’s Scendix to Eric Lamaze

Saturday, 10 December 2011

A happy Eric in Paris last weekend. Now he can be even more happy having a new top ride at his stable. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson. The eight year old winner of the Sires of the World 2011 Hunter’s Scendix (Stakkato x Dinar) will in the future be seen under Eric Lamaze according to dehoefslag.nl. The wonderful stallion has many great results from both the Belgian Championships and the World Breeding Championship in Lanaken under it’s former rider Brecht Bille.

Lamaze has stated in a press release that he has been following the horse for years, and that it’s fighting spirit reminds him of Hickstead. Lamaze was very pleased when the deal went through and said; “He will be my new number one.”

The deal has been arranged through Stephan Conter from Stephex Stables in Belgium who originally sold Hickstead to Lamaze as well as his currently numer one Coriana van Klapscheut. Scendix will still be owned by Hunter’s Studfarm though, but Lamaze will be competing him and hopefully produce a new star.
