Images | New and promising combinations in Gothenburg

Friday, 07 March 2014
Marcus Ehning made his international debut on the seven year old stallion Sakrileg 3 by Stalypso in Gothenburg, jumping him in the youngster classes. Photos by Jenny Abrahamsson.
The seven year old mare Tactik by Contender x Quick Star has already jumped the youngster classes with Denis Lynch since the end of last year, but this weekend she was out in action in the five star 1.40 and 1.45 classes.
Elin Jansson and Candlelight K - a seven year old mare by Cardento - won the youngster tour final.
Quenza du Breuil - a ten year old mare by Pamphile - did her debut with new rider Hans-Dieter Dreher this weekend.
Quidam's Adel - a seven year old stallon by Quidam de Revel x Contender - competed in the international youngster classes with Ludger Beerbaum. The pair was number eight in the final.
Alexia K has already been competed by Pius Schwizer since the beginning of November last year. The nine year old mare by Gulowa was previously seen under Marcel Wolf.
Maikel van der Vleuten's Charming Edition is a seven year old gelding by Namelus R x All Wins that his father Eric rode last year. This year Maikel has taken over the ride, and last weekend the pair competed in Gothenburg - winning Saturday's youngster class.
Emanuele Gaudiano's Lishynsky has been jumped in the youngster classes by the Italian rider since the end of last year. In the youngster final in Gothenburg they ended fifth, while they were third on Saturday and second on Friday. Lishynsky is a seven year old by Lord Z and is half brother to Emanuele's top ride Cocoshynsky as he is out of the mare Penelope by Popcorn.
Johan Lund and Prince Garbo were ninth in the youngster final after good rounds throughout the weekend. This is a seven year old stallion by Feliciano x Cortez.
Himalaya could be a new star for Nicola Philippaerts. This partnership is a relatively new one - and in the youngster final last weekend the pair was sixth. Himalaya is by Ludo's former ride Winningmood and out of Celebrity, a Coronado-mare - home bred by the Philippaerts.
Glock's Charismatic Boy is not a new ride for Robert Puck, but it for sure is a promising one. The seven year old by Stakkato x Tangelo Van de Zuuthoeve has jumped very consistent with the Austrian rider the entire last season.
