Laura Kraut on Cedric, 2008 Olympic team gold medal combination, won the $125,000 Trump Invitational at historic Mar a Lago estate on Palm Beach Sunday as a curtain raiser for 12 weeks of the Global Dressage Festival and Winter Equestrian Festival at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center. Laura of Wellington, Florida and the 17 year old small grey that is a fan favorite for his big heart was the last to go in the jump-off and beat the American-based Irish rider Darragh Kenny on Fantasy with the USA's Brianne Goutal on Ballade van Het Indihof to second and third. Darragh Kenny ended second on the 10 year old For Pleasure-mare Fantasy. In total there were seven clear rounds in the class. Brianne Goutal ended third with Ballade van het Indihof.
Veteran Margie Engel on Indigo were fourth.
Beezie Madden ended fifth with Vanilla, and was one of four lady riders in the top five.
Alexander Zetterman and Flecu ended up number six, defending the Scandinavian colors.
Kent Farrington had the fastest jump-off of the day, but on the expense of a rail down on Blue Angel.
Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum and Atlanta were also fast, but had a rail down in the jump-off as well.
