Monday, 01 September 2014

Monday was the day of the official training session in the d'Ornano stadium, and no less than 179 riders came to test out the ring - with or without jumping. Here's a few of them. All photos by Jenny Abrahamsson.

Several of those that gave the water a go had to work very hard.
Action-Breaker gets to know the ring with his rider Sergio Alvarez Moya.
The wonderful pair of Flora de Mariposa and Penelope Leprevost.
The youngest and the oldest on the British team: Spencer Roe and Michael Whitaker.
Christian Ahlmann featuring a brand new patriotic helmet.
Bertram Allen and Molly Malone popped over a few of the fences.
Winchester HS waiting for his turn.
Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiikkkkkkkkkkk! A few of the horses thought the water jump was really scary.
One of the medal favorites; Steve Guerdat and Nino des Buissonnets.
The lovely Lansdowne with Conor Swail in the saddle.
 The beautiful Cornet d'Amour.
Conrad de Hus looked ready to go for Gregory Wathelet.
 Charlie Jayne looking cool!
Rodrigo Pessoa and Status looked full of confidence as they rode around the ring.
All relaxed: Eric Lamaze and Zigali P S.
