They were simply amazing yesterday; Marco Kutscher and Cornet's Cristallo - aka Alien - outclassed their competitors in the 1.55 class. Photos by World of Showjumping.
A sigh of relief for David Will who impressed all with his two fantastic rounds on S I E C Carriere.
World number one Scott Brash jumped two super rounds on Hello Sanctos to end third.
Terri - Marco's groom - looking completely calm watching Alien jump.
Rolf-Göran Bengtsson is back after his injury break, on a very fresh and happy Casall Ask - finishing fourth in the 1.55 class.
The best lady rider was Katharina Offel, who rode two tremendous rounds on Lacontino.
Harrie Smolders watching his round with Emerald on the big screen as he leaves the ring. The pair ended sixth after a double clear.
Ludger Beerbaum opened up the jump-off and ended eight on Chiara with two clear rounds.
The super cute Castlefield Eclipse was ninth with home rider Paul Estermann with one down in the jump-off.
Jessica Kürten was very happy with the beautiful VDL Zapatero after a great first clear round.
Gregory Watheelet really went for the win on Papillon Z, but two down in the fastest jump-off of the class set a stop for another victory.
Zirocco Blue VDL was clear in the first round for Jur Vrieling.

One of the most beautiful horses on the circuit - Shane Breen's Balloon. He had one down in the first round.

As did VDL Groep Sapphire B with Maikel van der Vleuten in the saddle.
Cylana jumped super for Reed Kessler, but had an unfortunate rail down.
Bosty's super star Castle Forbes Myrtille Paulois was a little too fresh after a few weeks competition break, and the French rider decided to retire.
And finally; the star of the day - Marco Kutscher!
