Billy Twomey and Diaghilev did a great job for the third placed Irish team with one down in the first round followed by a clear second round. All photos by Jenny Abrahamsson.

Not everyone was so interested in the sport going on - here Pius Schwizer on Toulago in the background jumping a double clear for the Swiss team. Sweden's Emma Emanuelsson on the fantastic Titan had four faults in the first round, and eight in the second.  What a horse and what a rider! The only nine year old Sea Coast Forlap DC was couble clear for Belgium with Gregory Wathelet in the saddle - contributing to a third placed shared with Ireland. Jur Vrieling and VDL Bubalu are veterans on the Dutch team. The pair was clear in the first round, but a pole fell in the second. In the end the team ended fifth. Belgium's 18 year old Jos Verlooy and Domino impressed with a clear first round, and a pole down in the second.  The super cool looking Darius 2 ridden by Spain's Manuel Fernandez Saro. They are a clear round machine for Switzerland; Paul Estermann and Castlefield Eclipse! Nicola Philippaerts and Cortez had eight faults in the first round, and four in the second for Belgium. Penelope Leprevost jumped Dame Blanche van Arenberg clear in the first round, and it was only a pole down in the second that stood in the way of a jump-off against the Swiss team. In the end France had to settle for second on the podium. It was a long distance between the first two elements in the triple combination so many horses really had to stretch over the b-element!
