Images from the Longines Grand Prix in Lyon

Monday, 04 November 2013
Casall Ask jumped fantastic under Rolf-Göran Bengtsson in the Longines Grand Prix in Lyon - ending second after a double clear. All photos by WoSJ.
The beautiful Carlo 273 was third with Sergio Alvarez Moya - also they double clear.
Jamal Rahimov was happy with his round on Warrior, and with good reason as they collected only a single time penalty as first to go.
 Michael Whitaker and Amai.
Yesterday's Grand Prix also included some drama. Kevin Staut was incredibly unlucky to part ways with Silvana HDS at the vertical at fence three and had to leave the ring on foot...
... but it looked much worse for Bosty who had a terrible fall in the triple combination. Luckily he and Colombo van den Blauwaert could leave the ring on their feet!
Hence the crew was kept busy!
The amazing Emerald with Harrie Smolders in the saddle.
Ludger made it to the jump-off on Chaman, were the super couple had one down in the attempt to take the win.
Steve and Nasa were a popular pair in Lyon. They did a great first clear round, but unfortunately they had a stop at the penultimate vertical in the jump-off as well as one down.
Marc Houtzager and Sterrehof's Opium were so, so fast - but got in trouble at the last fence and had to settle for 11th...
... also putting the crew to work.
Sheik Ali bin Khaled Al Thani did two great clears on the stunning Cantaro 32 to end fifth.
The fantastic London with Gerco Schröder.
Stephex Stables' Eiken Sato had a fantastic show in Lyon, and was in the jump-off in the Grand Prix as well on Espyrante.
