Images from the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour - part one

Monday, 07 April 2014

As the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour concluded this weekend in Oliva Nova, Spain - plenty of ribbons were handed out with two Grand Prix classes - one on Saturday and one on Sunday. The sun was shining, it was warm, people were happy and it was great sport. What more can you ask for as a tour comes to an end? Photos by World of Showjumping.

Cameron Hanley had a great weekend; he won Saturday's Grand Prix on Caretina de Joter and ended fourth in the Grand Prix on Sunday riding Living The Dream.

Alexander Onischencko and Carlina in action in the Grand Prix on Sunday. The pair did a great round with only a single time penalty. The beautiful Sterrehof's Cayetano Z and Julia Kayser also ended the track with one time penalty.  Constant van Paesschen and Citizenguard Taalex were clear in the first round in Saturday's Grand Prix. Michel Hecart and Piman de la Deviniere ended 10th in the Grand Prix on Sunday after a first clear, but then three rails down in the jump-off. A good weekend for Holger Wulschner! He won Sunday's Grand Prix on Fine Lady and was second in Saturday's Grand Prix on Cha Cha Cha G. One to watch; Willem Greve's nine year old Avion by Cornet Obolensky - 6th in Sunday's Grand Prix.  Unfortunately one pole fell in Sunday's Grand Prix for Peter Charles and Murka's Odie de Frevent. Katharina Offel was 5th in Sunday's Grand Prix on Charlie.

Absolute Horses were strong in force at the tour, with the entire team present. Here Andreas Schou on Leonardo der Kleine.
