It's time for the second round

Monday, 04 October 2010

Today’s team competition is a table A competition, and it’s the second qualification for the individual- and team final in the FEI World championship. The team final is being held tomorrow, with the ten best teams participating. Today and Wednesday’s team competitions are also individual qualifiers, and the top 30 riders after Wednesday will go forward to the final qualifying round on Friday night. The top four riders will contest the individual final on Saturday, where they will ride each other’s horses. You will find the starting order for today’s competition at http://www.alltechfeigames.com/ftp-pdf/JUM_S_2.pdf

Today's start number 72, Bermuda’s Patrick Nisbett and Cantaro (Corrado I x Achill-Libero H) flying high at yesterday’s speed competition. Photo: Jenny Abrahamsson.

The competition starts at 10:04 local time. The course looks tricky enough, and you can "walk" it at http://www.alltechfeigames.com/competition/discipline.aspx?id=234&ekmensel=c580fa7b_8_28_btnlink

There are 13 fences, which includes a triple combination at 5a, b and c and a double combination at 12a and b. In the middle of the course there is a line consisting of a wall to the water and then to a vertical, and it looks like this line in particular demands some serious riding and jumping.

We can’t wait!
