The CSIO5*-NC show in Gijon, Spain kicked off earlier this week – and today’s biggest ranking class went to Belgium’s Jerome Guery. He rode Popstar Lozonais (Quick Star x Muguet du Manoir) to victory in this 1.50 class that counted 56 riders. With a clear round and over a second down to Dutchman Harrie Smolders on Regina Z (Rex Z x Savoy Hanover), the Belgian rider was unbeatable. Third went to Simon Delestre on Ryan des Hayettes (Hugo Gesmeray x Ryon d'Anzex).

The 1.45 class was won by Richard Spooner on Caretol 2 (Caretino x Capitol I). With a time of 79.83, the Master of Faster was fractions ahead of another rider known for his speed – Patrice Delaveau who rode to 79.92 on Quenndal de Lojou HDC (Le Tot de Semilly x Galoubet A). Third was Robert Whitaker on UB One (Namelus R x Holland).

Earlier in the week David Will had a big win in Thurday’s 1.50 class on S I E C Carriere (Catoki x Contango), while Patrice Delaveau ended on top in Wednesday’s 1.50 class on Carinjo HDC (Cascavelle x Landgraf I).
