Jörg Naeve wins the Grand Prix of Schleswig-Holstein in Kiel

Sunday, 12 October 2014

Jörg Naeve and Cashflow won the Grand Prix in Kiel. Photo (c) Karl-Heinz Frieler/Baltic Horse Show. After a nine horse jump-off, it was home rider Jörg Naeve who stole the win in the CSI3* Grand Prix of Schleswig-Holstein in Kiel. Riding the 10 year old stallion Cashflow (Cash and Carry x Quinar), Naeve – who is based close to Kiel – produced two clear rounds to take a popular win on home soil. Denis Lynch ended second on Quote Zavaan (Quasimodo Z x Armstrong) with 0.20 seconds separating him from Naeve in the jump-off. "It's just something special to win here at home," smiled Naeve afterwards. "And sometimes during a course I really think 'Cash' can read."

After the top two followed no less than four more German riders, as Philipp Weishaupt finished third on Carinou (Carinue x Baloubet du Rouet), Sebastian Karshhüning fourth on Taqulia (Paramount x Acord II), Felix Haßmann fifth on Horse Gym's Balzaki (Balou du Rouet x Ex Libris) and Tobias Meyer sixth on Seal (Stakkato Gold x Rebel Z I). The latter two each had a rail in the jump-off.
