John Whitaker was unbeatable at the CSI5* show in Treffen. First the British rider won Sunday's 1,45 m class with Lord of Arabia (Cassini II x Carry) and then he went to the top in the Glock's 5* Grand Prix with Argento (Arko III x Gasper).
Six riders jumped first clear round in the Grand Prix, and John won the class by finishing the jump-off in 37,76 seconds. Daniel Deusser stopped the clock on 38,51 and slotted in behind John in second place on First Class van Eeckelghem (Balou du Rouet x Feinschnitt I). Third place went to Malin Baryard-Johnsson with H&M Tornesch (Lux x Libero H) while Katie Dinan ended fourth on Nougat du Vallet (Scherif d'Elle x Saphir d'Elle) ahead of Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum riding Atlanta (For Pleasure x Libero H).
The 1,45 m class was a competition with two phases, where Whitaker also was the fastest one. Martin Fuchs ended second with PSG Future (Cashandcarry x Lorentin I), Marc Houtzager and Sterrehof's Voltaire (Now or Never M x Accord II) third while Marcus Ehning and Comme Il Faut (Cornet Obolensky x Ramiro) ended fourth.
