Judge and Parot with wins in Gijon

Samuel Parot won the 1.40 class in Gijon. Photo by CSIO5* Gijon.Quentin Judge and Samuel Parot kicked off the CSIO5* event in Gijon with each their win today. America's Quentin Judge took the victory in the biggest class of the day – a 1.50 competition with a winning round. The class had almost sixty riders in it, and ten moved on to round two. Here only three couples remained clear, and the fastest one of them was Judge riding HH Copin van de Broy (Darco x Brownboy). Andres Rodriguez on Darlon van Groenhove (Clinton x Heartbreaker) was runner-up, two seconds behind Judge. Then followed another American rider in third; Georgina Bloomberg on Juvina (Cassini I x Grannus).

Chile's Samuel Parot and Sensation 21 (Welcome Sympatico x Acord II) won the 1.40 speed class. The pair was almost two seconds faster than Germany's Felix Hassmann and SL Brazonado (SL Baluarte x Silvestre). Third was Great Britain's Robert Bevis on Courtney Z (Chellano Z x Major de la Cour).
