Jumping Indoor Maastricht in images - part one

Wednesday, 19 November 2014

Jumping Indoor Maastricht is probably one of the most beautiful shows on the indoor season calendar. Here is one of the many plusses of the show; carrots for the horses at every prize giving! How cute is that? All photos by Jenny Abrahamsson.

The now 15 year old VDL Groep Sapphire B won Sunday’s Longines Trophy – and for the second year in a row! Hello there! Marlon Zanotelli and Nenuohar’Jac tic tacs over the Longines fence.  Watch this space; Sergio Alvarez Moya’s nine year old Red Star d’Argent by Quick Star is one for the future. Just love the color of Albert Zoer's Charlie Chaplin. The lovely Angelica Augustsson. Holland’s got talent! Frank Schuttert had a pretty good weekend; on Saturday he won two classes, and on Sunday he was fourth in the Grand Prix.  It’s always nice to watch Jessica Kürten in action. In the Grand Prix she was fifth on Arezzo VDL. As Cold as Ice Z was back in great form with Judy Ann Melchior in the saddle, finishing sixth in the Grand Prix on Sunday and also jumping clear in the first round of Saturday’s Grand Prix qualifier.  Another one to watch out for: Air Chin Z, a nine year old daughter of Air Jordan Z ridden by Katharina Offel. The mare finished fourth in Saturday’s Grand Prix qualifier the Audi Prijs.  Not only four legged talents could be spotted; Henk Nooren’s daughter Lisa Nooren keeps on impressing with her good riding.
