Kahled Al Eid took the GP in Abu Dhabi

Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.The CSI4* Grand Prix World Cup Qualifier of Abu Dhabi this last weekend was won by Khaled Al Eid riding Vanhove (Concorde x Burggraaf). On second place was German rider Jörg Naeve who had brought Calado 2 (Calando I x Landgraf I). Irish rider Marion Hughes was also in Abu Dhabi, and managed to take third place with Heritage HHS Fortuna (Heritage Fortunus x Cavalier Royale). The top three riders were the only double clears in the class that had 25 combinations at start.

Ahmed Tolba, with Cian O’Connors previous ride Splendor (Lestor x Marinier), had one time fault in the first round and ended up fourth. The wonderful Noblesse des Tess, now seen under Kamal Bahamdan, had a total of three time faults after two rounds and was number five. Abdullah Al Sharbatly, the winner of the silver medal at the WEG in Kentucky in 2010, had one pole down in the second round which placed him as number six on the result list.
