Katchina Mail goes from sport to breeding

Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.Katchina Mail (Calvaro x Laudanum) will according to studforlife.com at 14 years old end her sports career and be used for breeding instead. The French bred mare has had a very successful career, and has been competed by Patrice Delaveau with some big international victories from Le Mans, Gijon, Lyon, Stuttgart and Dinard as well as Nations Cup victories for France in Rome and Gijon. The highlight of Katchina Mail’s career will probably remain the French silver team medal at WEG in Kentucky in 2010.

Her owner and breeder Bernard Le Courtois – who owns the famous Brullemail stud in France – have always refused to sell this fantastic mare, and Katchina will instead stand at stud at a relatively young age to produce future super stars flying the Mail-flag.
