Katharina Offel and B Once Z unbeatable in Friday's biggest class in Kiel

Saturday, 11 October 2014

The winners of the 1.50 Grand Prix qualifier in Kiel on Friday: Katharina Offel and B Once Z. Photo (c) Karl-Heinz Frieler/Baltic Horse Show.Friday's biggest win at the CSI3* Baltic Horse Show in Kiel went to Katharina Offel and B Once Z (Baloubet du Rouet x Lavaletto). The Ukrainian rider set an early target time in the 1.50 Grand Prix qualifier that counted fifty-four riders stopping the clock on 44.36 after some tight turns and a great rhythm throughout the round. None of the forty riders to come could catch Offel, who left home rider Felix Hassmann and Horse Gym's Balzaci (Balou du Rouet x Ex Libris) behind her as runners-up almost two seconds slower. Third was Sweden's Douglas Lindelöw on Talina (Matterhorn).

The 1.40 class went to Felix Hassmann, this time riding Chicca (Clearway x Grannus). Over a second behind followed Jan Wernke on Lorelli (Lord Pezi x Aldatus) securing double German on top. Third was Sören Pedersen on Tailormade Cavetta (Careful x Grannus).
