Katrin Eckermann continued her fabulous form in Münster, Germany, today when she won two classes. Yesterday Eckermann was victorious in the 1.50 class, and today she took home both the final of the medium tour – a 1.50 class – and the fourth leg of the DKB-Riers Tour; a 1.60 class. Eckermann’s first win came on Lolita H (Achill-Libero H x Grannus), while she rode Carlson (Casco x Sable Rose) in the biggest class.
The young and talented German rider – she is 21 this year and still a young rider – left names such as Robert Whitaker/USA Today (Heartbreaker x Capitol I) and Cassio Rivetti/Verdi (Andiamo x Libero H) behind her in the DKB-Riders Tour class, as they ended up second and third respectively. Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum was fourth on Kismet (Kannan x Furioso II). Six riders were double clear in this class consisting of 33 riders, and although Swedish rider Angelica Augustsson on Quick Diamond (Quick Lauro Z/M.v.Catango)had the fastest time of the day she ended up as number seven after a pole down.
In the 1.50 class Jörn Naeve on Coolidge (Clinton I x Contender) was second, and Roger Yves Bost on Ideal de la Loge (Dollar du Murier x Joyau d'Or ) third.
Ludger Beerbaum is still the overall leader of the DKB-Riders Tour; click here for the full standing.
