It was a good day for the Americans in the four star Grand Prix in La Coruña, as Kent Farrington won the class on Voyeur (Tolano Van 't Riethof x Goodwill) and Lucy Davies ended third on Barron (For Pleasure x Nabab de Reve) – only to be separated by Germany’s Daniel Deusser in second on Stephex Stables’ Evita van de Veldbalie (Wandor V.d. Mispelaere x Clinton). Out of the 47 riders in the class, seven produced double clear rounds. Nobody could match Farrington on his time though, as he stopped the clock on 47.15 seconds in the jump-off. Deusser was not that far behind, at 47.59 seconds – while Lucy Davies and the very talented Barron crossed the finish line on 48.01 seconds in the Grand Prix Telefonica.
Earlier in the day French rider Roger-Yves Bost did what he does best, and was was the fastest one to win the Azcar Trophy. Bosty set a time of 67.90 in this 1.45 speed class riding Quaoukoura du Ty (Calido x Quel Type D´elle). Daniel Deusser was yet again in the ribbons this weekend, with Norland Des Etisses (Quidam De Revel x Uriel) at 67.94 seconds. The final podium place went to Luca Maria Moneta on Jesus De La Commune (Diamant De Semilly x Rocky Du R) with a time of 68.18 seconds.
