Kevin Staut on top in the Preis der Citröen Partner Leipzig

Friday, 17 January 2014

Kevin Staut and Silvana HDC en route to their win in Leipzig. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson. It was a good class for the French riders in the 1.50 Preis der Citröen Partner Leipzig on Friday evening. Kevin Staut took the win on Silvana HDC (Corland x Widor), and his colleague Patrice Delaveau ended third on Lacrimoso HDC (Landjunge x Cascavelle) with Marco Kutscher on Cornet’s Cristallo (Cornet Obolensky x Pilot) ahead of him in second and Simon Delestre on Ryan des Hayettes (Hugo Gesmeray) behind him in fourth. There were no less than twenty clears in this 48-rider class against the clock, but in the end Staut stole the win after taking the lead in the class as number eighteen to go – taking home the car that was the top prize.

Earlier in the day Pius Schwizer won the 1.45 speed class on Rafael des Forets (Arc de Triomph). Penelope Leprevost ended second on Flora de Mariposa (For Pleasure x Power Light), and Maikel van der Vleuten was third on VDL Groep Eureka (Chin Chin x Quidam de Revel).
