Kevin Staut takes the last win in Valencia

Sunday, 06 May 2012

Kevin and Le Prestige St Lois de Hus in Valencia. Photo by GCT.Kevin Staut on Le prestige St Lois de Hus  became the winners of the last 5* competition of the Global Champions Tour in Spain.  The 1.50 class had 24 riders to start and the ten best riders went on to a second round. The total score after two rounds and the time in the second round decided the ranking.

Second rider out in the second round Eduardo Alvarez Aznar set the pressure on the other riders to come with a clear round in 42.25. But Kevin Staut was able to beat that time with a very fast start in the 1.50m class crossing the finish line at 39.87. Billy Twomey riding Tinka’s Serenade and Maikel van der Vleuten with Zacharov Tn made the last competition of the Global Champions Tour of Spain in 2012 a quite exciting one. Billy Twomey managed to speed into second place at 40.49, while Maikel van der Vleuten ended third only a fraction behind Twomey on 40.67.
