Sunday, 08 September 2013

Guido Klatte and Qinghai. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson. This year's Bundeschampionat (the German championship for Young Horses) for 6 year old horses, went to junior rider Guido Klatte and Qinghai by Quidam de Revel x Cordalme Z. Qinghai is bred by Helmut Fischer and owned by Guido Klatte. This year the 6 year olds were competing in normal classes, and were not judged by notes for their jumping ability as the previous years.

Second place went to Miriam Schneider with Caillou (Casall x Corrado I, bred and owned by Max-Hermann Johannsen). Third place was secured by Philip Rüping riding Zaminta (Cormint I x Alboretto, bred by Dr. Nina Tassemeier and owned by Sportpferde Rüping GmbH & Co.).

The Bundeschampionat for the 5 year old horses went to Eva Bitter and Sandokan (Stakkato x Landor S, bred by Hans-Werner Schubert, owned by Niedersächsisches Landgestüt Celle). Sandokan won both qualifications with 9,5 points and in the first final the stallion got another 9,5, before he finished off the show with the unbelievable score of 9,7 in the second round. According to st-georg.de Paul Schockemöhle bought the fantastic stallion after seeing the first qualification.

Otmar Eckermann and Coco-Bongo (Cassini Boy Junior x Kigali, bred and owned by Sjaak Bindels) were runners-up amongst the five year olds, ahead of Christian Kukuk from Stall Beerbaum and Cabana (Carrico x Lord Kemm, bred by Klaus Narajek, owned by Kai Gerken).
