Tuesday, 04 June 2013

Ludger was supposed to ride Chiara in the Nations Cup. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.Ludger Beerbaum was one of the riders who was supposed to jump on the German team in St. Gallen that withdrew from the Nations Cup last Friday. On his website Ludger now speaks out about the decision made by the German team, and that the team would make exactly the same decision again if necessary. The much respected German rider states that the FEI's decision in St. Gallen was based on anything but horsemanship.

"There is so much talk about the welfare of the horses and that this always shall be the main priority, and then we are punished for prioritizing exactly this," Ludger states on www.ludger-beerbaum.de.
