Slovenia's 30-year-old Luka Zaloznik steered Eloise du Petit Vivier (Non Stop x Éclair Des Bois) to clinch the senior individual gold at the FEI Balkan Jumping Championships 2014 last weekend. The event took place at Konjicki Klub Karoca in Zagreb, Croatia. Zaloznik pinned Turkey's Cagri Basel and Chaccomo (Chacco-Blue x Contender) into silver medal spot on the final day of the championships, while Croatia's Janka Krasovec and Chicofino (Colman x Cascavelle) took individual bronze.
Turkey won the team championship, when Sencer Horasan/Quick de St Hermelle (Quniar x Carpaccio), Ulkan Delikan/Contero (Contender x Polydor), Huiki Karagulle/Skara Glen's Cascador (Cassini I x Lord) and Cagri Basel/Chaccomo completed the competition on a total of 13 penalties. The silver medal went to Slovenia on a 19 penalty score, and bronze to Romania on a score of 20 penalties.
