Twelve countries had lined up teams to compete for the win, but it was Luxembourg that went out as the victorious team on a thirteen penalty score ahead of Poland in second on nineteen and Italy in third on twenty tied with the Czech Republic. Christian Weiher on Global (0/1), Victor Bettendorf on Sorbier Blanc (4/0), Noemie Goergen on Smint 2 (8/4) and Marcel Ewen on Orgoueil Fontaine (12/0) took part in the winning team.

"It has been a tremendous event for us," Christian Weiher comments to World of Showjumping. "Luxembourg has not started in a Nations Cup for a long time and we have been hesitant to take part in any, since we have a shortage of riders and horses. The first attempt has been a success, and I hope this will give the sport in our small country a little boost."
