Monday, 04 August 2014

Maikel and VDL Groep Eureka. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.Dutch Champions Maikel van der Vleuten and VDL Groep Eureka won Sunday's two star Grand Prix in Valkenswaard. Filled with top names, it became an exciting class in the sand ring in Valkenswaard and with almost twenty riders in the jump-off it was a fast affair. The grey daughter of Chin Chin x Quidam de Revel is well known for her speed though, and yesterday she was untouchable in the jump-off. Second place went to another Dutch rider; Timothy Hendrix on Cedrick (Couleur-Rubin x Quattro B) who was 0.61 second behind Maikel on the time. Third was Emanuele Gaudiano on Caspar 232 (Casper x Padarco) – almost a second behind the winner.
