It was Marco Kutscher and Satisfaction FRH (Stakkato x Calypso) who won the 1.50 UVEX-Preis in Zürich today. After a beautiful and fast double clear that was as taken out of the school books Kutscher stood as the winner with a time that was a fast as 25.91. Marco cut all the turns, but still made it look fluent and controlled.
It was a short track with a direct jump-off, and runner-up Patrice Delaveau on the lovely French mare Katchina Mail (Calvaro x Laudanum) was the second rider to go double clear when he followed up on his team mate Kevin Staut’s clear round. Delaveau was his usual fast self, and stopped the clock on 27.91 after a really short turn from the combination to the third last oxer. Niall Talbot ended third with Nicos de la Cense (Eyken des Fontenis x Le Tot de Semilly).
Home rider Christina Leibherr left the ring after a clear round on L.B. Callas Sitte Z (Calvaro x Aramis de la Cense) when she mistakenly was given a time penalty, but returned to the ring one rider later and cleared the jump-off to end up fourth.
