Martin Fuchs on fire in Zürich

Sunday, 26 January 2014

Martin Fuchs and Principal won the biggest class in Zürich on Saturday. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson. It was all about Martin Fuchs at the CSI5*-W event in Zürich on Saturday. First he won the biggest class of the day – the 1.50 – on Principal (Prinz Oldenburg x Grabensprung), before he went on to win the knock-out competition on Mighty de Riverland (Shogoun II x Saphir d'Elle). In the 1.50 class, Martin and his 18 year old gelding produced a double clear round – and in the second phase the Swiss rider was over a second faster than Ireland’s Shane Breen on the lovely Farao van’t Vennehof (Triomphe de Muze x Sun Light van de Zuuthoeve). In third followed another home rider; Steve Guerdat on Clair II (Clearway x Lavall II).
