Tom McDermott won Sunday’s World Cup qualifier in the Australian league. This was the sixth qualifier this season, and it took place in Gawler, Australia. Aboard Statford Delight McDermott had one fence down in the second round, but with the fastest time of the day it was enough to take the victory.

Tim Clarke on Caltango was second with five faults in the first round and a clear in the second – while the league’s overall leader Jamie Kermond was third on Colthaga, also he on a total of five faults. The winner is still a junior rider, and must hold great promise for the Australian showjumping future. With another sixteen points, Kermond has taken a solid overall lead in the Australian league.
