Münster Grand Prix in pictures!

Monday, 27 August 2012

It rained a lot in Münster yesterday, and during the prize giving cermony Philip Weishaupt was hiding under an umbrella. Leoville didn't seem to mind. All photos by Jenny Abrahamsson.

Meredith had an umbrella that was almost bigger than herself when she was walking the course. James Paterson-Robinson was prepared with his rubber boots. But where are your rain clothes Marcus?Heiner Engemann walked the course with a group of students and some of them looked really cold and wet. Marco Kutscher with Cash was one of those who had to deal with the most rain while riding. Rolf-Göran Bengtsson was riding in a waterproof jacket, but he still managed to get on his Rolex armband. Rolf and Carusso LS La Silla was the first combination to clear the course.

Lucy Davis with Nemo was one of four clears in the first round. We like all the different face expressions on the riders - here is Hans-Thorben Rüder with Orlanda that ended as number ten in the class.David Will and Colorit was another clear combination. Ludger Beerbaum and Chaman over the b-element in the triple combination that caused so much problems for several riders. Chaman did it easy though!Karim El Zoghby and Splendor had to make a circle before the second fence as one of the ground personal was so consentrated on getting the water away that he forgot to move. When Marcus Ehning and Copin van de Broy jumped this fences another member of the ground personel had to run away becauses even he was so caught up with the water. The same thing  happened with Janika Sprunger and Graciella. Pius Schwizer looking between the ears of Powerplay. Daniel Deusser rode the beautiful Cornet d'Amour and ended fifth in the class.Christian Ahlmann with Codex One almost took home the GP win, but the last combination Ludger Beerbaum and Chaman pushed them down to second place.
