Nagel and Vrieling on top in Braunschweig

Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.Björn Nagel and the fantastic 11 year old stallion Niack de L'abbaye (Diamant de Semilly x Rocky du Carel) won the first qualification for the Grand Prix at the 4* show in Braunschweig on Friday. It was a speed class and it turned out to be a difficult class with only six clear rounds out of 45 starter.

Björn was more than a second faster than Henrik von Eckermann with Allerdings (Arpeggio x Diamantino) that ended up second ahead of Maiju Mallat with Urleven van de Helle (Esprite de Conquete x Quidam de Revel) and Jur Vrieling with Sissi van´t Schuttershof (Nabab de Reve).

In the Medium Tour it was a close call between the top four. The winner Jur Vrieling with VDL Wittinger (Indoctro x Nimmerdor) got the time 28.32 seconds in the jump-off and was just slightly ahead of Hans-Dieter Dreher and Embassy II (Escudo x Silvio) with his 28.38 seconds. Karl Brocks with Bellheim (Baloubet du Rouet x Bollvorm´s Libero) ended up third with 28.40 seconds and the fourth place went to Tobias Meyer with Confident of Victory (Cornet Obolensky x Damokles) with 28.46 seconds.

Today the show in Braunschweig will continue with the final in the Youngster Tour, the final in the Medium Tour and the second qualification for the Grand Prix. You can follow the show live over Clipmyhorse.de.
