There were some interesting horses that changed hands during the Expo Talent Sale in Hengelo this week. The horse that caused the highest bids was the four year old gelding Colorado (Douglas x Lux) bought by Stoeterij Sterrehof, the sponsor of Julia Kayser and Marc Houtzager. The Douglas- son was bought for 340.000 euros. Elector and founder Wim Schröder was happy that the horse is being kept in Holland.
The second most expensive horse at the auction was the five year old dark bay stallion, Tamarindo la Silla (Tlaloc la Silla x Cash). The horse was bought by Norwegian rider Maia Stange Røsholm at the price of 280.000 euros.
When the auction had finished 22 horses had been under the hammer. Five of them were sold for more than 100.000 euros, the average price was 77.000 euros and the total amount spent was 1.697.000 euros.
