New Rolex Ranking; Rolf-Göran holds on to the top position

Tuesday, 06 March 2012

Rolf-Göran is still number one in the world. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.Rolf-Göran Bengtsson still tops the Rolex Ranking as the latest ranking was released today. The Swedish rider has lost some of his lead though, and number two Eric Lamaze is now only 89 points behind him compared to 154 points last month. Ludger Beerbaum keeps hold on third place while Nick Skelton's great performances in Wellington have paid off and the British rider has jumped up from rank eight to four.

This means that Christian Ahlmann has been pushed down from fourth to fifth place, followed by Marco Kutscher who has climbed up to sixth place from last month's number nine. Kevin Staut keeps on to rank seven, while Pius Schwizer and McLain Ward both drop from rank five to respectively eight and nine. Marcus Ehning is the last rider to make the top ten after a huge jump from rank 19 last month. This also means that the Germans now have no less than four riders within the the top ten.
