New combinations in Amsterdam

Tuesday, 28 January 2014

It was the first international show for Enjoy Louis - a 10 year old gelding by Coriano x Kannan - and Harrie Smolders in Amsterdam. Enjoy Louis has previously been competed by Brecth Bille. All photos by Jenny Abrahamsson.

First Class van Eeckelghem jumped in the youngster classes with Daniel Deusser last year, but is now moving upwards as he has tunrned nine. The promising gelding is by Balou du Rouet x Feinschnitt I Vd Richter, and is owned by Stephex Stables and Jos Lansink.  Quebracho Semilly is now seen with Cassio Rivetti, who rides the horse for Alexander Onischenko. The 10 year old stallion by Le Tot de Semilly has previously been seen under Nina Fagerström. AD Unaniem is not a new ride for Ben Schröder, but the two have been reunited again - at least for the time being. The horse was sold to Athina Onasiss de Miranda in 2011, and Ben is now bringing the 13 year old stallion by Numero Uno back to competition. One to watch! The nine year old Counselor impressed under Jeroen Dubbeldam on their second outing together. The gelding has previously been seen under Johannes Ehning. Counselor is a KWPN bred in America, and is by Judgement x Farmer. John Whitaker competed the nine year old Sonas Dearg in Amsterdam. The stallion by Ard VDL Douglas has previously been seen under Tim Page.  UT Wodka was jumping with Jos Lansink in Amsterdam, at their third international show together. The ten year old mare by Cassini I x Lord has previously been seen jumping for Japan. VDL Groep Quatro is an eight year old by Quaprice x Caletto I that now has taken the step up from the youngster classes with Maikel van der Vleuten. Velini did his second international show with Michael Whitaker in Amsterdam. The eight year old by Cheers Cassini x Kigali has previusly been seen under Simon Davies who has bred the horse, and also owns him. A real talent; H&H All In really stood out! The eight year old by Kashmir van Schuttershof x Fortune has previousy been competed by Nicola Philippaerts. The relatively new combination of Robert Whitaker and Jahil could be seen in Amsterdam. The British bred gelding also jumped with Robert in Maastricht and Salzburg at the end of last year.
