Three British riders were qualified for the Rolex FEI World Cup final in ´s-Hertogenbosch, but now it looks like none of them will ride. Ben Maher has already said no to his place in the final as he wants to save his horses for the Olympics. Nick Skelton, who has 48 points and is rank ten in the Western European League, has told Horse & Hound that he will not ride the final either. Skelton also wants to give his horses the best possible preparation for the Olympics in London.
Scott Brash, the third qualified rider from Great Britain, is still thinking about going or not. Scott has been in Florida with all his horses and is hesitating to bring them to the final indoors after all the outdoor shows lately.
With Nick not going to the final, it will be Katharina Offel taking his place. If Brash decides not to go, Dermott Lennon is the next in line. After Dermott, Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum is the next one on the list - but the German rider has already said that she will not participate.
