No Europeans for GIG Amai

GIG Amai will miss the Europeans. Photo by Kit Houghton/FEI.According to studforlife.com Michael Whitaker’s horse GIG Amai has sustained a tendon injury, preventing the gelding from competing at the Europeans in Madrid. Amai got the injury in Rotterdam this weekend, and will now be given a rest in England until he is fit to compete again. This is not the only blow for the British team, as Robert Smith’s stallion Talan has been injured as well. Both horses were picked for the team that was bound for Madrid.

Last week it was also known that Christian Ahlmann’s Taloubet Z  and Judy-Ann Melchior’s As Cold as Ice Z are out as well after minor injuries.
