Offel and Onischenko end their partnership

Tuesday, 18 October 2011

Katharaina Offel riding Vivant in Barcelona. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.According to horseweb.com, Katharina Offel will in the future no longer ride Alexander Onischenko's horses. The Ukrainian millionaire has bought a huge number of horses over the past years, and his main goal has been the London Olympics next year. Onischenko reached this goal under the Olympic Trials in Aachen in July with Offel on the team together with Björn Nagel, Casio Rivetti, and Oleg Krasyuk.

Offel is based in Lohmar in Germany at Jochen Scherer. Horseweb also writes that Offel has a new ride at Scherer’s place in the ten year old Hanoverian mare Fidji Island (For Feeling x Wanderer). Fidji Island has been competing under Timo Beck with many good results at 2*- and 3* shows.
