Reed Kessler is more than deserving of accolades and this special award at the American Gold Cup. Kessler, at only 18 years old, was the youngest person in show jumping history to compete in the Olympic Games when she participated in the 2012 Olympic Games aboard her mare Cylana. With nearly 40 show jumping wins since 2009, including the US Show Jumping National Championship, Kessler is one of the most important talents in the show jumping arena today.

At the American Gold Cup Kessler earned a fourth place prize in the $7,500 1.40 and a fifth place in the $35,000 Double H Farm Jumper Championship both aboard Onisha and second place in the $50,000 American Gold Cup Qualifier and 10th in the $200,000 American Gold Cup riding Mika.

"Parlanti was proud and excited to sponsor the Leading Rider award. We feel it is important to support the venues that invite us as well as the riders who are participating in shows," said Carine Fischer of Parlanti Custom Riding Boots. "It was our pleasure to present Reed Kessler with the Leading Rider Award and a pair of boots from our ready to wear Parlanti Passion line. Like our custom line, the Parlanti Passion line upholds the highest in quality and detail that has become associated with the Parlanti name."
