Ouaddar and Quickly de Kreisker win the World Cup qualifier in Tetouan

Monday, 13 October 2014

Abdelkebir Ouaddar and Quickly de Kreisker - here seen this summer in Valkenswaard. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson. It was a popular home win for Abdelkebir Ouaddar and Quickly de Kreisker (Diamant de Semilly x Laudanum), as the Moroccan pair won the CSI3*-W Grand Prix of Tetouan on Sunday. The Grand Prix also served as the first World Cup qualifier in the FEI World Cup Jumping Arab League for the 2014/2015 season, and was thus Ouaddar's first step towards the finals in Las Vegas in April next year.

With a double clear round and a time of 40.77 seconds in the jump-off, Ouaddar left French rider and Moroccan coach Philippe Rozier behind him in second. Rozier was riding Quel Chanu (Flipper d'Elle), also to a double clear round in a slightly slower time in the jump-off as the clock stopped on 41.04 seconds. Third place went to Italy's Roberto Arioldi on Loro Piana Viper (Clinton x Goodwill) – also he double clear.
