Penelope Leprevost and Nayana win Thursday’s biggest class in Antwerp

Thursday, 24 April 2014

Penelope Leprevost and Nayana were by far the fastest in Thursday's biggest class in Antwerp. Photo by World of Showjumping.Penelope Leprevost and Nayana (Royal Feu x Narcos II) left their competitors behind in Thursday’s 1.50/1.55 class sponsored by CMB in Antwerp. The super stylish French rider came in about half-way in the sixteen rider jump-off and took the lead with one of her trademark fast yet beautiful rounds over the shortened track that counted seven fences and included a combination midway. Nobody managed to come near Penelope’s time tonight. Closest was last-to-go Marc Houtzager on Sterrehof’s Uppity (Guidam x Epilot) over two seconds behind on the clock. Third was home rider Pieter Devos on Dream of India Greenfield (Gem Of India x Night And Day) who did a great round.

The opening five star class of the day stood at 1.40-1.45 sponsored by Facilicom, and was won by home rider Constant van Paesschen on Citizenguard Million Dreams (Diamant de Semilly x Concetto). Over two seconds behind on the time followed Great Britain’s Joe Clee – who is based in Belgium – riding Fento Chin S (Chin Chin x Carthago). Third placed was Luca Maria Moneta on Jimy (Casall x Contender).
