Penelope Leprevost was the leading rider again in Antwerp on Friday evening, taking the win in the 1.50/1.55 class sponsored by Loewe. Riding the 9 year old Vigo d'Arsouilles-stallion Vagabond de la Pomme, the French rider went on to the jump-off as one of six riders clear from the first round. After both Marcus Ehning on Sabrina (Sandro Boy x Landadel) and Kevin Staut on Quismy des Vaux HDC (Dollar de la Pierre x Super de Bourriere) had one down each, Penelope was next in the ring.
Just like yesterday, the French style icon rode a tremendous fast round and she used the stallion's huge gallop to her advantage to the final oxer – crossing the finish line on a time of 38.07. Then followed Rolf-Göran Bengtsson on Unita Ask (Corrado I x Caretino), who jumped a great first round. The Swedish rider took a slower approach than Leprevost around the shortened track, and was over three seconds behind her – still it was good enough for second in the end as neither Luciana Diniz nor McLain Ward could catch the two. Diniz had the slowest clear in the jump-off though to end third on Lacontino (Landgold x Continue).
