The German rider Philipp Weishaupt with Leoville (Landor x Wettruf) was the best one out of the 57 starters in the 1,45 m class with jump-off.
It was a tricky course that forced the riders to be concentrated all the way around. Especially the last fence, which was a big oxer out of a short turn, caused several faults. Only eight riders managed to be clear and four riders, Hans-Thorben Rüder with Orlanda (Caretino), Rene Tebbel with Warrior (Lupicor), Thomas Voss with Carinjo (Cascavell) and Anna-Maria Jakobs with Georgenhofs Credo (Caretino x Silvester), ended up with one time fault.
Jörg Opperman on Che Guevara (Concept x Rebel Z) was first to go in the jump-off and the favorite of the audience rode a really fast and clear round. Jörg did a fantastic turn to the second last fence and put a lot of pressure on the rest of the riders.
Second out was Ludger Beerbaum and Chaman (Baloubet du Rouet x I Love You) and they got in trouble on the second last fence. Ludger had to turn away once and the next time the pole fell. After Ludger came Albert Zoer with Sam (Sable Rose x Ahorn) and Jörg Naeve with Calado (Calando x Landgraf) and both of them had fence number four down.
Anelies Vorsselmans was next to go with her Eurocommerce Cleveland and she could happily end the course with a clear round. Rolf Moormann with Londinium (Böckmanns Lord Pezi x Cascadeur) tried to do one less stride between number 4 and 5 but his attempt unfortunately didn´t succeed so the pole fell.
Second last was Philipp Weishaupt and Leoville and they went straight into the lead and kept it as the last rider Gert-Jan Bruggink and Primeval Wings (Lexicon x Columbus) had both fences in the combination down.
