Philippe Guerdat. Photo by Jenny Abrahamsson.Philippe Guerdat has resigned as Chef d'Equipe of the Belgian showjumping team. The Swiss has been in charge of the Belgian showjumpers since January in 2010, and has had great success with the team. In 2010 Belgium won team bronze at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky and qualified for the 2012 Olympics under Guerdat’s guidance.

In a statement on the Royal Belgian Equestrian Sports Federation’s website it is said that Philippe Guerdat will be the new Chef d’Equipe for the French riders, who recently saw Henk Nooren quitting. The Belgian federation will start the process of finding a new Chef d'Equipe.
